Enjoy a day of great memories of our generation's greatest comedian - Bob Hope.  We'll visit the traveling exhibit of legendary entertainer Bob Hope at the Western Reserve Historical Society that emphasizes his life, career in show biz and his extraordinary relationship with the US Armed Forces.  We'll also enjoy the 2 new exhibits - WWI and the "WOW" fashion exhibit.  Lunch is included in Little Italy followed by a cruise on the Good Times III - a great summer day.  This is sure to sell out so reserve early.

Thu Jul 6                                     "An American in Paris"                                                                   SOLD OUT

An American WWII veteran, Jerry Mulligan, now an exuberant expatriate finds himself in Paris attempting to establish a reputation as a painter.  A lonely society woman finds him displaying his art on the street and takes an interest.  Each are yearning for a new beginning in the aftermath of war while enjoying the magic and romance of Paris with unforgettable songs from George and Ira Gershwin in the show that earned more awards than any other musical in the 2014-2015 season.  This is the highlight of the 2017 Broadway Series at Playhouse Square State Theatre and definitely not to be missed by stage fans!  Prior to the 8 PM show we will enjoy dinner at Macaroni Gill followed by Broadway Buzz.  Reserve early - without a doubt, this is a sell-out show!!  Early reservations will be a must.

The Freelander Theatre in Wooster will be hosting "Music Man" this summer and our group has reservations for this wonderful Meredith Wilson musical at a 2 PM matinee performance.  This true American Classic is always popular featuring, "Ya Got Trouble", "Goodnight My Someone", "Seventy Six Trombones" and many more favorites.  Preshow lunch included at TJ's Restaurant.  Reserve early - the Ohio Light Opera is very popular.

Wed Aug 9          Touring The Edsel Ford Home & Visiting Ford Assembly Plant                                  $ 88 pp

Let's take a ride to Grosse Pointe Shores, MI for a peek into the life of auto baron, Edsel Ford.  Eleanor and Edsel lived in Grosse Pointe Shores and you will enjoy touring this lovely home and grounds and get an idea of this fine man who gave rise to the Mercury Division of Ford Motor Co. and was responsible for the Lincoln Zephyr and Continental. Following this experience we will drive into Dearborn and visit the Dearborn Assembly Plant and watch as the new aluminum bodied F-150's are assembled and "roll of the line".  Following the estate tour we will dine at Waves Grill and Chill in St. Clair Shores, just minutes from this wonderful home.  You will be able to choose your own dinner from a limited menu of great selections.

Sun Aug 27         "A Tribute to Ella Fitgerald"    Blossom Music Center                                                $90 pp

As summer winds down we need to make our annual trip to Blossom for a delightful evening under the stars.  This year it's a swinging "Tribute to Ella Fitgerald" - in celebration of her 100th birthday!  The date is Sunday, August 27, 2017.  Be there to hear the songs she made her own:  "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered", "Someone to Watch Over Me", "The Lady is a Tramp", "Summertime" and many more.  The Cleveland Orchestra and 3 female vocalists will be featured.  Also included is a pre-show dinner at TGIFridays in Stow, Oh.  Early sign-ups help greatly in the planning.

Wed Oct 18        The Amish Housewife and "Mennonite Girls Can Cook". Sugarcreek, Oh                   $95 pp

An up close look at the Amish housewife's life with a late breakfast/brunch in an Amish farmhouse followed by the witty and frantic fun matinee performance of "Mennonite Girls Can Cook" at the new Ohio Star Theatre (formerly the Carlyle Inn) in Sugarcreek, Oh.  Following the show we will visit an Amish market (bring your cold bags) before heading home so you might purchase some of your favorite foods from the Amish Country.  We will also make a fast food stop (on your own) enroute home for a bit of dinner.

"The 2017-2018 season at the Cleveland Playhouse begins with the amazing WWII story of a 13 year old Anne Frank and 7 other Jews that evaded Nazi deportation for 2 years.  The other thing standing between them and a concentration camp was their trust in one another and the bravery of those harboring them.  This matinee performance is sure to be a gripping portrayal of this real life true story.  We will plan a preshow Dutch treat lunch at Crocker Park before arriving at the Outcalt Theatre.  Reserve early - this will sell out.

Sat Dec 16      The Cleveland Orchestra Christmas Concert - Severance Hall                                      $ 130 pp

One of Cleveland's most endearing Christmas traditions is on schedule for us - the Cleveland Orchestra Christmas Concert at the beautiful Severance Hall.  It will focus on Christmas favorites, an amazing choral group and featured soloists.  This matinee performance is just perfect timing for us!  We will follow the concert with an early dinner in Little Italy.  Plan ahead for this wonderful Christmas outing!!   We are presently filling a second coach but then that will be it.  Sign up now.
